  1. Apr 11,  · Quincy Jones - The Dude (), what do we want more musically. I don't know if the L.A session scene was bursting with creativity with the likes of Louis Johnson, John Robinson, Ian Underwood, Jerry Hey, Steve Lukather, Greg Philinganes and company or Mr. Jones is truly a genius himself, with no additional explanation, but one thing can affirm with precision, this album is a 4/5().
  2. Newly recruited vocalist James Ingram took two of the album's singles into the Top 20 'One Hundred Ways' and 'Just Once;' the latter being written by hit songwriters Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. 'the dude' followed quincy jones' 'sounds'. and the results are equally incredible! Had this on vinyl wanted cd version great album but /5().

  7. This is the first album I ever purchased from my man Mr. Quincy Jones on which I own on tape a long time ago had a nice real beat to it. It has "Ai No Corrida" on which I like, It has "The Dude" with everybody from James Ingram, to Michael Jackson, Patti, Stevie, doin' much work/5().

  9. An enormous commercial success, 's The Dude is a cross-cultural success blending jazz, Latin music, soul ballads, and straight pop into an admittedly slick but never over-produced or soulless stew. The album opens with a surprise: "Ai No Corrida" is a synthesizer-driven yet still-funky Latin dance track written by Chaz Jankel of Ian Dury & the Blockheads, suggesting that unlike a lot of.
